Most crops can remain in the same place for 3 years. After this time, the plant achieves the proper diameter of the crown which is very important to start the division of the plant successfully.

The multiplication of these plants can be carried out in two ways. The first is through seeds, which should preferably be grown during the spring season and in a specific area to ensure their good development. The area where you decide to grow this plant should be in full exposure to sunlight or semi-shade, avoiding places with very high temperatures and in turn, do not choose a place where there is full shade since the plant will not grow rapidly, which It could bring problems with its development.

During the hottest times, you should increase the amount of water you use to irrigate this species a little, due to the fact that the soil usually dries more quickly.

The fertilizer is not very necessary, however, you can use a mineral fertilizer and apply it to the plant at least once a week, especially in the fall seasons and also during the summer.

During the fall, the foliage of most of these crops becomes a reddish color that can also be coppery or orange, which makes it a great seasonal figure. On the other hand, in the winter season they tend to dry completely, making the colors even lighter without losing their decorative value, these plants always remain erect while their spikes do not separate at any time.
