The name of the fence is “Mirror Fence Reflecting the Ever Changing Landscape” and is the creation of Alyson Shotz. The designer undertook the challenge of designing a “border” that would delimitate Socrates Sculpture Park (Long Island City, USA) and the conception of the idea was unique.
If you notice the photo, you will hardly see the fence among the tree clusters.
Alyson designed a structure based on reflecting the image of the ground and so the fence is basically invisible. Moreover, it does not interfere with the natural landscape since it seems to give it continuity.
Every season of the year the fence reflects colors and images that make it unique. And does not need painting.
