Planting in a pumpkin: How to design an amazing autumn DIY flowerpot

Planted pumpkins are a great idea for fall decorations. They are a quick and easy project that are fun and enjoyable. Instead of filling the pumpkin with soil (which would rot the skin quickly), the hollowed-out pumpkin simply serves as a decorative flower pot in which a potted plant is placed. Pumpkin flower pots look great in groups or individually, indoors or outdoors and are also ideal as Halloween decorations. Simply draw a creepy grimace on your pumpkin with a marker or felt pen. Plant ornamental grass, sage, or even a succulent plant to add personality and wild and crazy “hair” to your pumpkin planter.
