What do you need to paint stones?

First of all, of course, you need stones. You can either buy them or find them on a walk. In terms of shape, straight, flat and smooth stones are the best for painted. Then you need to think about what materials you need.
Acrylic paints, or markers and synthetic paint brushes are suitable for this. You will also need swabs to correct imperfections and a spray varnish to protect the paint.

You need to prepare the stones for painting

Before you start painting, it would be good to clean the stones. Take an old toothbrush and carefully scrub the stone surface to remove sand paints. Then wash the stones and if dirt sticks, you can clean them again with the brush. Dry them with a cloth or just let them dry in the sun.
To make the colors stand out better later, you need to apply a light or dark primer. Sometimes a second coat is necessary. Allow the paint to dry before applying the second coat or any other paint.

The choice of painting pattern

You can paint almost anything on the stones, depending on your artistic talent. Both flowers and animals as well as mandalas are popular patterns for stone painting. For the dotted mandala pattern, you can use the tip of a crochet hook, toothpick or cotton swab. You must first draw the outline of another desired pattern on the stone with a pencil. Then take the selected colors and start painting. Practice shows that synthetic brushes are better suited to this.

After the paint dries well, the last step comes. Spray the painted stones with varnish to protect the color.
Make an authentic and cheerful decoration for the house and the garden

Now you can use them to decorate your home, garden, balcony and terrace in a colorful way and create a happy atmosphere. It can also be a nice touch as a gift to relatives.
